Domain warm-up builds sending trust before volume.
Domain warm-up is a period of low, rising volume from a new domain or mailbox, so inbox providers learn to trust it before a campaign runs at full pace.
How we use it.
Weeks 1 and 2 of every engagement are warm-up. We set up the sending infrastructure and warm it to reach your buyers with 95%+ deliverability, while the first touches go out and we tune messaging on real reply data. Booking starts in Week 3.
We send from infrastructure that protects your domain, so a bad week of cold email does not push your company's everyday mail into spam.
A new sending domain (fictional)
A fictional firm registers a separate domain for outbound and creates three mailboxes.
In the first week each mailbox sends a handful of emails a day.
Volume rises week by week while bounces and spam complaints stay low.
Only then does the campaign run at full pace.
Common mistakes
- Sending a full campaign from a brand-new domain on day one.
- Running cold email from the domain your invoices and support mail come from.
- Treating warm-up as done for good. A sudden jump in volume later can undo it.
