Show rate is the share of booked meetings that happen.

Show rate is the percentage of booked meetings where the prospect actually joins. The rest are no-shows.

How we use it.

Show rate is built into our definition of qualified: rule four says the prospect showed up or rescheduled once. A meeting that never happens is not delivered, so a no-show costs us, not you.

We use the phone alongside email and LinkedIn partly to lift show rates: a short call to confirm a time catches the meetings that would have slipped. Rule three matters here too. A soft maybe on a calendar rarely shows; a confirmed time does.

One month of bookings (fictional)

A fictional agency books 20 meetings in a month.

16 prospects join, 2 reschedule once and then join, and 2 never appear.

Show rate: 18 of 20 meetings happened, or 90%.

Under our rules the 2 no-shows do not count as qualified.

Common mistakes

  • Counting a rescheduled meeting as a show before it has happened.
  • Booking meetings weeks ahead with no confirmation step.
  • Measuring attendance without fit. A prospect who attends but cannot buy still uses the slot.
